Logan Darrow Clements vs eminent domain —
I have heard no less than thrice four times in the past day about Logan Darrow Clements's effort to take the home of Supreme Court Justice Souter through eminent domain because he wishes to build a hotel on Souter's property.
Let me remind everyone that Mr Clements was the Objectivist laughingstock who stood for election for the governor of California, and when The Noumenon commented on this fact, Mr Clements himself responded in a way I think is revealing of his character. Two of the collaborators of his television programme are known enemies of Objectivism, and based on some googling, he also has at least a measure of personal affiliation with that favourite pseudo-Objectivist organisation.
While I support this type of justice in general because it is a clear demonstration of the effects of the Kelo decision, I cannot endorse Mr Clements's actions in particular because he is known to be affiliated with enemies of Objectivism and has shown through past actions that he will do a poor job of advancing the philosophy.
